My eggplants have been a struggle, so far no fruit in sight. The plants have had multiple flowers, I called Safiyat for some pointers because I was ready to give up on my plants. Thanks to her quick and simple advice I just recently spotted a flower with what appears to be a soon to be fruit. I am not certain I will get to enjoy a fruit, but I certainly enjoyed the pleasant and seamless conversation with Safiyat. She patiently listened to my frustration and unrealistic expectations, then she calmly provided me with some reassurance and ideas about my plants.

Where do I begin… from “No way I am doing that,” to building my own vegetable bed. Thanks to the Safiyat Tasty Harvest's Coach, I have embarked in the journey of planting. Her contagious positive energy led me to want to try planting. She made it look fun and kept it simple, her suggestions have come in handy during this process. I love that she shares from her own experience, I am not getting a textbook answer. She has taught me to harvest small or big, this has made me fall in love with my plants. I now hold a sense of accomplishment that thrives on knowing that what I am about to eat or use in my meal came from my very own backyard. I never thought in a million years that I would be planting , but now I find myself taking pictures of my growing plants and veggies.
