Where to Buy Garlic Bulbs for Planting

Garlic is a versatile and flavorful addition to many dishes, and it's also relatively easy to grow at home. If you're interested in planting your own garlic cloves, the first step is to purchase some high-quality garlic bulbs. But where should you buy them?

Below are three great options.

Grocery Store

Believe it or not, the grocery store is a great place to buy garlic bulbs for planting. Many stores sell garlic that is specifically grown for consumption, which means the cloves will be large and healthy. Of course, you'll want to check the label to make sure the garlic hasn't been treated with any chemicals that could harm your plants. Also, check the location it was grown. Get the one that is local to you. Your best bet will be organic garlic.

Farmers Market

Your local farmers market is another great option for buying garlic bulbs. This is a great place to find organic, heirloom, or specialty garlic that you might not be able to find at the grocery store. Even better, you'll be supporting your local farmers!

Garlic Seed Companies:

Finally, plenty of companies specialize in selling garlic bulbs (and other plant seeds) for planting. These companies usually have a wide variety of garlic varieties available, so you're sure to find one that's perfect for your needs. Plus, you can often order online, which is convenient.

Below are some of these I used seeds/garlic companies from Amazon.
